Sunday, October 4, is Worldwide Communion Sunday and we will have several special components to the morning. Pastor Marshall will do a conversational sermon with someone from All People’s Pantry, we will have communion during the worship service and we will take a special Worldwide Communion Sunday offering.

Immediately following the worship service (around 10:30-10:45) we will all share a potluck lunch together in the Great Room. Since our Sunday theme is “worldwide,” we encourage everyone to bring a dish for the potluck that is from or represents another country.

During the month of September we have been collecting food pantry items for All People’s Food Pantry.  All items we have collected in September will be given to All People’s Food Pantry when they are here on October 4.

On October 4, World Communion Sunday, we also will take a special offering for the United Methodist Church which supports World Communion Scholarships, the Ethnic Scholarship Program and the Ethnic In-Service Training Program. Your check should be made payable to St. Luke and marked “Communion Sunday” on the memo line.
