Methodist Community Counseling Program

The Methodist Community Counseling Program provides accessible, affordable behavioral health services throughout Omaha.  Their team of mental health professionals can assist individuals of all ages with a variety of mental and behavioral health challenges such as anger, anxiety, bullying, depression, divorce, drug and alcohol use, grief, and stress and coping.  The Methodist Community Counseling Program accepts most major private insurance, Medicaid and self-pay.  Financial assistance by the program is available to ensure that no one is turned away due to the inability to pay.  To schedule an appointment with a community counselor, call 402-354-4825.

Teen Center

The Teen Center, originally a ministry of St. Luke, is now its own separate 501(c)(3) and is located at Burke High School.  The Teen Center program works to help Burke students discover and pursue their potential while working toward self-sufficiency.  Programming includes academic assistance, post-secondary preparedness, exposure events, alumni services, health and wellness, and student and family support services.  The program is open to all Burke students thought most “at risk” in some fashion.  St. Luke encourages its members to continue to financially and in other ways support the Teen Center.  All gifts and donations for the Teen Center should no longer come to St. Luke but should only go directly to the Teen Center.  The mailing address for the Teen Center is:  Burke High School, Attn:  Teen Center, 12200 Burke Blvd, Omaha, NE 68154.  To give online or learn more about the Teen Center, go to their web site at the link below:

Threshold CoC

Threshold CoC coordinates the collective response to housing justice for Douglas, Sarpy and Pottawattamie Counties in Nebraska.  They represent a coalition of community partners who work directly with people experiencing homelessness.  Their goal is to ensure that homelessness is rare, brief and non-recurring.

Together, Inc.

A non-profit organization whose goal is to prevent and end homelessness in our community by providing assistance to needy persons/families via clothing, shelter, transportation assistance, utilities, and emergency medical help. Persons/families are asked to go through a screening process whereby needs are evaluated, and Together, Inc., responds accordingly. Located at 812 South 24th Street.
