Caregiver and Grief Support Group

Next meeting is April 25 at 1:30pm

Primary and secondary caregiving is an ever-evolving process and can create a multitude of challenges. The focus, often at first, is on the needs of the people needing care. Many times, the needs of the caregiver are delayed or put aside.

Additionally, many caregivers experience grief during the process and after the loved one has passed. People who’s loved one has passed to any cause, feel grief deeply and have similar experiences to caregivers.

The intent of this support group is to provide a safe place to discuss openly personal challenges, victories, joys, and needs as well as to share resources, information, and experiences to help give support to those having similar experiences at varying stages of the caregiving process and grief process. This is a group of lay people and is not intended to provide expert medical advice.

The group is not affiliated with any organization or entity. Rather it will be open and flexible to the needs of those in attendance. Conversation and caring are the order of the day. Everyone is welcome.

We also encourage those who have aging parents, siblings and those who want to be a little proactive to join us. We believe it is never too early to start planning and learning to ensure our choices are made by us and not have choices made by others.

Everyone is Welcome

We meet the 4th Saturday of each month from 1:30 – 3:00pm (May will be on the 5th Saturday.) We meet in the Great Room – use the Bell Tower doors.
