About Us

Philosophy

At St. Luke Child Development Center, we believe in providing an exciting learning environment that promotes positive self-esteem and focuses on each child’s individual needs and their natural curiosity for learning.

Our curriculum addresses the developmental stages of each child’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development. We also believe it is important to build a nurturing environment where the relationship between teacher, parent and child is fostered.

Components of our program
  • Creative Curriculum
  • Learning Without Tears
  • Enrichment activities (body movement class, music class and computer lab)

Staff

We hold our staff to higher standards than required by state licensing. This includes an intensive interview and screening process, drug test, criminal background check and reference checking.

Aimee Bryer

Aimee Bryer

Child Development Center Director

Aimee Bryer has a B.A. in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from the University of Nebraska in Kearney. She also has over fifteen years of experience in the field of Early Childhood. Here she shares her philosophy:

"Over the past several years, I have been passionate about providing high quality children's programs.  It is my philosophy that children blossom in an atmosphere of acceptance infused with challenge.  I believe it is important to emphasize exploration, creativity and intellectual stimulation in a safe and nurturing environment honoring each child's pace of development.  I also feel that a 'problem' between children represents a teachable moment during which tolerance and conflict resolution skills can be taught."

Kimberly Jensen

Kimberly Jensen

Child Development Center Assistant Director

With a computer degree and years of experience in a pediatric office and management, Kimberly’s skills are put to good use as she promotes and educates the community about the quality of St. Luke’s Child Development Center through tours, phone contacts and a monthly newsletter.  Her helpful spirit, common sense and warm personality are evident in the way she goes about her daily tasks.

“I have been with the Child Development Center since 1999!  Each day is exceptional working with new parents, excited about their babies and preschoolers.  Their enthusiasm is contagious!  To be a part of a great community program that positively influences and encourages our youngsters to thrive and grow strong, personally and academically is, itself, the biggest reward! Every day I smile at adorable faces, laugh at silly antics and melt with each little embrace.”

Kimberly also assists the Child Development Center Director with the implementation of policies and procedures for the Center, financial and statistical record keeping, Creative Curriculum, student enrollment, classroom rosters, and staff management.
